ABOUT DISTRICT COURT

Ambedkarnagar is a small and peace full city about 180 km away from state capital i.e Lucknow and 60 km away from birth place of Lord Ram i.e Ayodhya at Uttar Pradesh, India .It was created on September 29, 1995 in the name of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar.TheSession Division and Judgeship at Ambedkarnagarwas created on 04 Nov 1999. Lots of small and big industries are there at outskirts of Ambedkarnagar namely NTPC, Jaypee Ayodhya Grinding Operations (JAAGO) at Tanda, Chetriya Sri Gandhi Asharam at Akbarpur and a sugar mill , at Mijhaura .Akbarpuris also the birth place ofRam Manohar Lohia (1910-1967) and Dr. Ganesh Krishna Jaitley,a renowned freedomfighter and a socialist political leader . This district has many historical places namely Sharwan Chetra , Dargah Sharif at Kichaucha ,Govind sahab and Shiv Baba .
